Ireland and Its History of the Past, Present and Future

 

I chose Ireland because I have always been fascinated by the culture and history surrounding this country. Ireland has experienced its share of bad storms, hurricanes, landslides, ground flooding, and even tornadoes that cause property damage. I can't wait to study and learn more about how each hazard or disaster affects Ireland. Did you know that Ireland also has volcanoes all around the island.

Hazards: Are occurrences that happen every day and can cause harm to people or damage to property whether its natural like hurricanes or wildfires or manmade like the release of toxic chemicals or construction.

Disaster: Is an event that's sudden and results in loss of life or massive damage like mass shootings, industrial accidents, terrorist's attacks, etc...

Catastrophe: A huge event causing massive damage requiring rebuilding efforts and countless donations as well as large sums of money like the effort in Maui right now to subdue the fire and rebuild the damaged structures as well as donations, money etc...
